San Dieguito Academy – Rising Senior
My name is Aiden Lo. I’m a senior at San Dieguito Academy, and looking to major in mechanical engineering, with a minor in either electrical engineering or community outreach. As a Type 1 Diabetic, I have a passion for helping other people who may struggle with food-related issues. Additionally, as an avid robotics fan, I try to involve myself in STEM whenever I can. In my role at Picky Eats, I manage and organize the team’s initiatives and spread our presence to other organizations.

Francis Parker School – Rising Senior
Hi, I’m Hanson. I’m currently a senior at Francis Parker School, and looking to major in film and television production. My journey with Picky Eats started in the fall of 2019, making chicken parm and fried rice for the residents of the UCSD Bannister Family House. Since then, I’ve contributed to Picky Eats through video production for UCSD Pi Wars and ECC Robotics, as well as mentoring the next generation of innovators in FLL robotics.
Alan Xie
Co-Founder, Co-Designer for FLL Robotics Training, Senior Robotics Trainer
Hello! My name is Alan Xie, I’m currently a senior at Camas High School and looking to major in electrical engineering or applied math in college. After I realized that volunteering brings me joy along with cooking, I chose to focus my efforts on Picky Eats when I was given the invitation to test recipes for food given to the needy. Along with this, spending 4 years within FLL robotics and eventually leading teams motivated me to mentor passionate robotics lovers. When Picky Eats originally transitioned to mentoring FLL students I created video tutorials on the basics of robotics and scratch programming, also working together with them both in-person and online in meetings.

Hi, my name is Connor Tuey, and I am currently a senior at Canyon Crest Academy majoring in nursing and biological sciences. Pickyeats kickstarted my volunteering journey and opened my eyes to a passion I currently enjoy. During my time in Pickyeats, I was able to communicate with those we helped to receive constructive feedback of how we could be more efficient, provide a more impactful presence, etc.
