Buying Grocery Cards – Part 5

With all of the gifts bought and wrapped, there was only one thing left missing from the food and toy drive: the food debit cards. Picky Eats and Mesa College was able to raise over $1140 to my cause to help me buy the grocery debit cards. I asked around my grocery stores, hoping to see if the store managers were willing to add a little bit extra for donations or a discount. I went to over 6 grocery stores and waited to speak to each of their store managers. Sometime I would have to wait hours or make multiple trips before being able to talk to a store manager. I finally found what I was looking for at Walmart. They made a very generous donation of $65, so I bought all the grocery debit cards there. Once the grocery cards were purchased, I inventoried all the cards so we can keep track of which parent got grocery cards.
