GoFundMe Toy Drive – Part 2

Armed with the idea for a food and toy drive in mind, the next thing I needed to do was to raise funds. And what better way to do that than a GoFundMe? I decided the GoFundMe should be focused mainly on raising money to buy toys for the preschoolers, because it would be too much to ask donors to contribute to both a food and a toy drive.

There are about 40 preschoolers that go to the CDC. They consist of 8 – two to three year old students and 32 three to five year old students. I made a quick visit to the local department stores to determine how much the toys would costs. I determined a good gift will average around $10.

With the help of many generous donors, I was able to raise $595 to buy toys and support Picky Eats!
