NYC: Papaya Dog

Papaya Dog is a small building on the side of the road that sells hot dogs and papaya drinks. You can order a plain hot dog or have it with chili or sauerkraut. Their drinks include pina colada, top secret papaya drink, and mango juice. I like ordering a plain hot dog with pina colada. There is nowhere to sit in the actual building but the Italian restaurant next door has seats. They are sometimes busy but not often. If you eat here, you can receive your hot dog within 5 minutes so this restaurant is good if you have limited time. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone who likes hot dogs.

WHAT THE PARENTS THINK

• If you like Grey’s Papaya, then this is a great alternative.  If you’re not familiar with these hot dog chains in NYC.  It’s basically a grab and go place.  Combo include some sort of tropical drink and hot dog.
• Stick with what they’re known for, hot dog with their special relish.
• Your kids will love it if they like Costco Hot Dogs.  The difference is, their dogs have a nice snap when you bite into it.
