Toy Purchase Decisions – Part 3
With funds gathered, the next thing I needed to do was choose which toys to buy. I enlisted the help of my Picky Eats volunteers Alan, Spirit, Logan, and Hanson, Every volunteer was tasked to go to the department store and pick 1 toy for each of the age groups and stay under the budget of $10.00. We then had all the volunteers present the toys to the team via Zoom. Each volunteer would argue their case on why they’re toys was the best. The people who chose the top two toys won a $10 prize, and we added the toy that they chose to our list. The competition and arguments were fierce. But all agreed, The Mr. Potato Head toy was too cruel and a safety hazard for kids.
Here are one the winners and their winning toys!
After that, I went out and bought the toys at Target and Amazon. They provided the best price and quality for the toys. One thing to note, we would like to thank the cashier that had to print out 40 individual gift receipts!
